Heartbroken to hear that Stuart Scott passed away this morning. On the surface, he was an entertaining and sometimes silly sports anchor but beyond that, he was a source of inspiration and encouragement through his determination to continue to fight. He always reminded me of my dad and his own determination to not only continue fighting but to continue living his life the best he could. I watched Scotts speech from last July a billion times and its helped me in a lot of ways with everything thats happened since then. My dad was probably eagerly waiting for Scott this morning at the gates to not only welcome a Tar Heel but to get some Jordan stories out of him as well.
