Heat advisory warning is in effect. Here come the Dog Days of summer. Some advice from a former Mojave Desert resident. It is easy to get overheated. remove shoes and socks FIRST! Take bedsheets, wet them somehow (Washing machine, garden hose, sink/tub) wrap yourself (or person who is overheated) in the bedsheet (naked is best to lower core body temp) and sit them in front of a fan. Re-wet bedsheet as needed. Cold wet towels over head, on neck also help. Stay cool folks.
