Heather Painter Says Hello! My name is Heather, and I am from Washington State. Here is my question. My 6 year old autistic son is nonverbal, and he is still not potty trained. Every night, we go through 3-4 diapers a night. He is in the youth diapers, because he is 64 pounds. So far, we have tried Huggies Good Nites, Pampers Underjams, and another kind we found at a home health store. So far, my son hasnt liked any of them. Most of the time, he will take his pajamas off and leave his diaper in the middle of his bedroom floor. Sometimes, however, he will shred his diaper all over his bedroom floor. We put him on the potty multiple times a day, but he is not showing the motivation to pee in the potty. Should I try a different diaper? Should I put him in underwear? I am seriously at a loss for what to do.
