Heaven & Earth VI: As Above, So Below Artist of the day,Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 Tom Hughes tomhughes.org/ Tom Hughes (born Buffalo, NY 1972) Hughes currently lives and works in the Seattle area. His dad is a poet. He tries to read difficult books. His artwork has been exhibited throughout the US, as well as internationally in The Netherlands, France, Denmark, Italy, Brazil and Azerbaijan. His works are often involved with the human elements of systems such as language and architecture, and consequently also storytelling. Hughes earned his MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, having prior studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He is currently adjunct Faculty at Olympic College, Bremerton, WA. He recently abandoned plans to rebuild that old motorcycle. It wasn’t going to happen.
