Heavenly Father, If in any way my life were to not go well today in terms of my circumstances, would I dare to give You praise? If in any way there were to be unexpected difficulties, would I dare to worship You? If in any way there were to be unexpected pain, would I dare to honor You? If in any way there were to be unexpected loss, would I dare to glorify You? If in any way there were to be unexpected heartache, would I dare to still love You? And if there were to be unexpected tragedy, would I still dare to proclaim You as the love and centerpiece of my life? Father God, by Your grace and through the power of the Holy Spirit, may I not be driven to find joy and happiness in my circumstances. They change so quickly and without warning. May I dare to remember that You alone are the love of my life. And I am secure in You forever. In the Name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior I pray. Amen.
