Heavenly Father, We know we are not to worry. We know we are not to be anxious…we know we are to trust, but so many of us struggle in these areas. Help us to keep our eyes firmly fixed on you…not only so we can get past the stormy seas, but so we will be ready and not caught off guard, as you taught us in the parable of the maidens and the bridegroom. When our eyes are fixed on our troubles, worries and the cares of life, we are distracted and we need to be vigilant in focusing on you and the things of your Kingdom and not the things of this world. Help us not to be consumed by the things that are temporary…help us to do all we can do. and then help us to release our cares and burdens, pain and grief to you, so we can move forward to the eternal things that should always be in the forefront of our minds. Lord, we pray for your wisdom and discernment in each of our lives, so we can learn to do the things you ask of us. We want to be teachable and pliable in your hands. We ask for healing in every area of our lives, Lord, so we will be victors instead of victims and you will turn our messes into messages of your amazing grace and healing power. Lord, help us to exhale stress and breathe in your peace at this very moment. Help us to pray without ceasing and help us make the most of our days, that we might be good and faithful servants. Speak to us today Lord, we are listening and we give you praise, glory and honor for who you are and for for all you are doing in our lives. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen. May His words and His presence soothe you and speak to you today!
