Heavenly father You are my LORD God Who is more than enough. You are exalted above all things seen and unseen. You are mindful of my form and You realize that I am nothing but dust. Yet You are very interested in the minutest detail of my life. It boggles my mind that You seek to bless me and stand by me even when You know that more often than not I am going to let You down. You make Yourself so vulnerable in Your love for me. Father thank You for being my Shield and Fortress. When I mess up and when I am in a pickle, I will come running to You to straighten things up for me. Help me never quail in fear, but be strong in you, my Rock. Strengthen my faith. Lift up my head that I might keep my trust in you alone. Father, thank you for Your great, great love. Thank You for your willingness to forgive me when I don’t deserve it. Thank You for Your compassion that feels my hurts intimately. Thank You for your patience that sees beyond the present dirty me. Thank You that You have for me a future and a hope. Father, my God of Steadfastness and Encouragement, sit me up cozy on Your lap and let me hear Your voice which will sooth all my anxieties and calm my frazzled nerves. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
