Heavy Goods Restriction Petition Still Active The petition that has been placed on the counter in Hale News and at Tea - for villagers to sign, who may be in favour or are being affected by the constant heavy goods vehicles passing through using the village as a short cut, is still active! To date - 5th July, over 400 people have signed the petition - in favour of a Heavy Goods Restriction being implemented, in the village. The petition reads.. Heavy Goods Restriction We the undersigned request that a weight limit restriction be placed on Heavy Goods Vehicles passing through Hale Village, for Health, Safety and enviromental reasons! A representation was made at the last Parish Council meeting of June, by villagers who feel strongly about the village being used as short cut by heavy goods vehicles. Another representation will be made again at the next upcoming Parish Council Meeting of July, which will be on 21st July at 7.30pm in the village hall! If you feel strongly about the issue, then please make an effort to attend and air your views/opinions. Hale Village is in a Conservation area, which includes buildings and locations of historical interest - located on the main roads and side roads. Conservation of the enviroment in the village should be preserved for the people who live here, those who come to visit, and future generations..
