Heb 13.8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday,today & forever. Jud 1.3....i found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints Mal 3.6 for I am the Lord,I do not change-one of the great challenges facing the church today is how to remain relevant and yet remain true to the ancient fundamental unchanging truths of the word of God. This was the challenge that faced the early church after the enlightenment movement where we had the birth of the liberal theology whose central aim was to make it possible for a man to be both an intelligent modern and a serious Christian. Are the ancient truths of the bible sufficient in addressing our post-modern issues or we need to critic and question their relevance and seek to adjust them? Did God realy mean what He said then or we need a modern current interpretation and hidden meaning? Is the bible literal or symbolic? Is the bible the final authority? Where is the place of common sence & reason?
