Hebrews 10:25 (NLT) 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Why is it so important for us to gather together and worship on a regular basis? Because it is in corporate worship that the joints and bones of the Body of Christ come together. It is in the encouragement of coming together that the flesh of this Body takes form and is strengthened. It is in the unity of corporate worship that the Holy Spirit breathes life and power into the Body of Christ. One can grow apart from the Body of Christ in much the same way skin or an ear can be grown in a petri dish, but skin or an ear not on a body is useless to itself and the to the body that is missing skin or an ear.
