Heidi and I drove to In-N-Out tonight for a late dinner. As soon - TopicsExpress

Heidi and I drove to In-N-Out tonight for a late dinner. As soon as we parked, a woman ran up to my door screaming my husbands having a heart attack! Heidi and I both yelled call 911!, and quickly got out and ran to him. She was already on the line with 911 but couldnt explain her location to the operator. I talked to the operator while Heidi was assessing his condition. He was losing consciousness and sitting in the drivers seat of their Jeep. His breathing was shallow and he had a heartbeat. Heidi turned off the Jeep and explained his condition to 911. He lost consciousness and seemed unresponsive. With the help of a kid who ran over to us, I lifted him out of the Jeep and onto the ground. As we waited for the ambulance to arrive, we followed the operators instructions while also trying to keep the mans wife calm. We covered him with a blanket from Heidis car and a jacket from the kid who was helping us. The kid and I elevated his legs while Heidi continued to monitor his condition to make sure he still had a heartbeat and was breathing. A few minutes later he stopped breathing for a short time, then started coughing and gasping. About a minute before the ambulance arrived, he began to regain consciousness but was still unresponsive. As the ambulance pulled in to the parking lot, I had to yell at a guy to move his car so they could get through to us. The paramedics rushed over to us and took him to the hospital. It was a very intense and scary situation. We wish him the best for a full recovery.
