Height of virtual multitasking :) A boy was in serious distress, almost drowning in depression. His girl friend, who stays far away, starts chatting with him to console. As the chat progresses, the girl keeps consoling him with words that would comfort the boy. In between the girl receives other chat messages from other friends active in watsapp. She keeps switching in between to send the other friends smileys, jokes, photographs, etc. etc. She then expands the horizon by going to facebook and liking others posts, commenting on status messages and photographs, and even uploading her own photographs. All this while the boy friend keeps thinking that the girl is with him, though virtually and from a distance, but completely. And, that the pauses are language of silence. But the reality is different. This is the modern day friendship. Now a days people dont have time to lend an ear to their friends with patience and dedication even for few minutes.
