Helens Quiche / although I make different variations all the time.. To get a thin crust Quiche, try this > Spray bottom and sides of 10-inch pie plate or shallow casserole dish with olive oil and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Gently roll and shake plate to distribute crumbs over sides and bottom. I sometimes press down on it lightly to pack it in a bit.. This is the Spinach one.. with the bread crumb crust.. 5 cups spinach 1 red onion (chopped) 2 cloves of garlic (minced) 1 1/2 cups milk 1 tbsp Bisquick this helps mold the quiche 1 cup cheese (shredded) your choice 2 teaspoons brown mustard 5 eggs (beaten) 2 tsp Italian seasoning pinch of salt and pepper 2-3 tsp olive oil 3-4 tbsp Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup grape tomatoes Enough breads crumbs to cover pie dish.. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a pie plate with a little olive oil, spread dry crumbs to cover plate.. in a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat and saute garlic with onions. Add spinach just until it starts to wilt.. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cheese, mustard and spices together. Add Spinach mixture to dish and pour egg mixture on top Top with Parmesan cheese and bake for 40-45 minutes, until slightly browned and bubbly Broccoli /Bacon Quiche I used a store bought crust for this one today to see if I would like the thicker crust, I dont... About 6 stripes of turkey Bacon 1/2 cup chopped sweet red pepper 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 cup shredded cheese ( any ) I like swiss 2/3 cup biscuit mix / forms the quiche 3/4 cup milk 2 garlic bulbs > minced 4 eggs 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease bottom and side of pie plate, with cooking spray. Brown bacon until crispy with garlic add broccoli until tender.. break up bacon into tiny pieces and then Sprinkle bacon, tomato, onion, garlic, broccoli, red pepper and cheeses evenly in prepared pie plate. Stir together biscuit mix, milk, eggs, salt and pepper until blended. Pour evenly into pie crust. Bake about 35 minutes, Cool at least 10 minutes.
