Hello Angels for Alex. I saw your post and am willing to share our story. On October 3, 2013 my beautiful, sweet Odin was diagnosed with an inoperable brain stem glioma (DIPG). We went into the doctor when he started stumbling a bit and his eye started to cross. We thought, at worst, he would need some eye surgery and have to wear a pirate patch for awhile. We were not prepared to get a diagnosis where the average survival rate is 8 months. We were devastated. He is 2 yrs old. Now, we fight to do whatever is in our power to give him a happy, normal life with Mommy, Daddy, and sister for as long as possible. Odin went through 30 days of radiation, combined with a study drug, and saw about a 20% tumor shrinkage. We are now in the honeymoon phase and take a 5-day chemo regiment once a month, with MRIs every three months. Odin is a happy little boy who loves dogs, climbing steps, playing musical instruments with Mommy and Daddy, and ice cream. He has a great sense of humor, is calm, reflective, and will sit for long periods of time just listening to music or reading his books. He loves to sing and dance, and to chase Daddy around the house, giggling. He loves hanging out with his pals. He hugs his little sister, Scotland (born in August 2013). He gives kisses. He has big brown eyes and a curiosity for the world. https://facebook/teamodinbaer
