Hello! As you know we moved into new a office. Its been a real experience. After several power outages we got an electrician to take a look and just in time, one side of a double pull breaker was about to catch fire. Turns out the electrical box on the building was an old 1960s Sylvania model with the main breaker in near melt down! We had to special order the breaker, it arrived yesterday and we are back in business today! Out first test with the motion capture hardware looks promising. The mo-cap is YEI Technologies 3 Space Sensors. They are IMU devices, Inertial Measurement Units, each unit uses triaxial gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass sensors. An actor wears 17 of the sensors attached by Velcro straps and the orientation of the body, head and limbs are wireless transmitted to receivers connected to a PC running the motion capture studio software. Well have to clear out an area free of metal desk and power cords to keep from interfering with the compass sensors, but that should be it. We still have some work to do setting up the office, now that we have power ;P , but looking forward to getting back to work on the game!
