Hello Attorney Chiapete, I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. :) Id like you to reply to my questions regarding my brother Kurt Hanson. 1) Are you planning to file charges against Brian Polk? 2) Conduct an investigation that is non biased into the entire handling of this incident? Kurts dog Angel should never have been shot, and even the most recent Journal Times article admitted the dog was shot from quite a distance while wagging her tail in a friendly manner and trying to return to her home. This is supported by video evidence. The actual 911 calls do not support what is documented in the police report, and the witnesses were never questioned. I was compelled to obtain the video evidence from the Pirks exposing the truth of this situation because the police were not interested. Of course I am interested in this case because it pertains to my brother. While I am certain their are many cases that are unjust, I can only act in situations that are relavant to my life, and of those I love. My hope is that my actions could facilitate change where necessary and benifit others. The truth of this situation is that Brian Polk repeatedly threatened Kurt with a gun. When the police were given this information they chose to ignore these very dangerous events. Instead they targeted Kurt, subverting justice by createing a crime scene with thier use of unecessary militarized tactics. They inflamed the situation by making repeated phone calls to a drunken, bipolar man until he felt threatened. They created a situation that exceeded their training while the skills of the mediator at the scene were never employed. The police obstructed their own investigation into a crime scene they created with their outlandish display of excessive force by ignoring witnesses and videotape evidence, and instead implementing an abusive power play. Now that it is agreed the Reckless Endangerment charge was initially erroneously issued, all other charges against a Kurt are inapplicable because the polices reason to purse Kurt in such a manner was always invalid. There was no criminal activity on Kurts part until the police arrived to extract a drunken sleeping man from his home. Even then tbe video tape evidence shows Kurt cooperated. Truth is an amazing friend to us if we allow it be. It brings introspection which leads to correction, both personally as well as implementing a more functional system. Working together to initiate change will not pose a risk to any person involved in this situation. Exposing the misconduct that exists here will not lead to any persons personal devistation. Truth really only leads to transformation the frees us from from the fear of what we are hiding. What is hidden is the enemy; not you or I ... and not Kurt or the police. Thank you for listening.
