Hello CSA family! First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your loving support as Anna and I navigate this new path we have unexpectedly found ourselves on. I thank the One for building and maintaining my strength. Even when I felt I was alone, I knew that I never was and could call upon the love of the universe to sustain me. Ever since she was hospitalized, my goal was to get her back home as soon as it was safe for her to do so. Everyday, when I visit Anna, she asks me when she can come home. I tell her that I am working on it. I have been talking with the discharge planners both from Kaiser and the rehabilitation facility where Anna is staying. I will learn more tomorrow what I need to do to make this happen, but I know that essentially I have to have someone who is caring and devoted to help with Annas care and can be counted on to be here. She needs an assistant for during the times I am at work. I do not yet have the number of hours the in home health services will grant us, but I know that they will be more than sufficient. I will share this with you that this is difficult for Anna because she used to do kind of work I am now asking to be done for her. Anna used to be an IHSS worker (in addition to her regular job as an interpreter for the state and her volunteer interpreting at CSA & elsewhere). I know that this request will be filled exactly as it should. I release this into the love and law of the One. And so it is.
