Hello Coaches, Players, and Staff Just sending everyone a quick FYI regarding our softball infields. Due to the high temperatures and unusually dry April, our infields which are engineered to play in wet weather dried out quicker than the surrounding grass turf areas. This created a scenario in which we had to wait to get equipment onto the infields. As mentioned above, due to the unusual weather when we were able to get on the infields and have the water supplies turned on to try and retain the needed moisture management, we preceded to break up the infields in order to create a soft plush surface, unfortunately due to the extreme dryness we are experiencing some minor clumping that we will eliminate over the next week. The infields are still very playable, but not too the expectations we will be looking to achieve for the 2014 season, unfortunately we just ran out of time.
