Hello Everyone, I have an enormus favor to ask anyone out there willing to help. Mike Winn and I are having a fundraiser for a very special Burlington Guy, Scott MacKenzie. Scotty was diagnosed with lung cancer over four years ago. He has been determined to beat the cancer and after a fierce battle (including chemo,radiation and numerous surgeries) was considered cancer-free for about six months, Unfortunately, the cancer returned with a vengeance- spreading to his brain, lymph nodes and other areas of his body. Scott and his family have been long time residents of Burlington. Scott lost his Mom, Janet and sister, Jody, both to lung cancer. Scott has made so many wonderful friends growing up in Burlington and through playing on some of the best hockey teams. He currently lives with his wife, Lynn, in Tewksbury. Scott and Lynn have a family of four and are facing mounting medical and household bills. Family, friends and loved ones will be holding a benefit on Friday, January 31st, 2014 at the Cafe Escadrille, from 7:00 - 11:00 PM. We are asking everyones help to show Scotty and his family how much they mean to us. Our donation tickets are $25.00 each, any and all contributons will be greatly appreciated, we have established a bank account at Cambridge Savings Bank, Burlington center.
