Hello Everyone.. This is BigEasy.. I decided to post this status on here instead of my own personal page. This way I can see how many people this will actually reach. I will also share this on my own page, and I encourage you to do the same... Let me begin by asking a simple question... what if you had the chance to make a difference, or be an influence, no matter how big or small, in the life of another, would you take that chance??? Now most of us would quickly answer yes because we want to be seen as a positive person and it matters how we outwardly appear to our social environment. I mean really if we were all in a room and I asked the same question and asked for a show of hands, you probably wouldnt want to be the odd one who didnt raise their hand. But that is just a mere statement that you would want to. Which leads me to ask Just how much time, patience, sacrifice, money , would you be willing to give up of your own to make that difference? What if you gave all this time, effort, or spent a bunch of money, and the results were not what you were thinking they would be. Or the person or group you were hoping to support didnt take your donation so kindly or rejected it, or maybe took it, without looking back or giving a simple thank you? Would that make a difference? The boys and I work hard with different charities year long. We have some that we work closer with than others. Sometimes we even hold our own charitable functions. During our past 3 or 4 years together we have helped raise a little over $300,000 for different charities. Some were easier than others. Some more appreciative, etc... Tomorrow you have a chance to make a difference, an influence. You have a chance to give a little of yourself. Its not a big powerful charitable organization. Its not even a small group. It is simply one small boys life. Let me introduce to you our good friend, an honorary member of Big Easy and the Gators, in fact his nickname is Lil Gator. His name is Christian Syndor. A little 7 year old boy, that has quite frankly had one of the greatest influences on my own personal life. Christian was born with Hypoplastic Left Ventricle Double Inlet, a very rare heart defect. Christian has had 3 open heart surgerys and a spinal surgery, been in hospital more times than i can count. God has always brought him through all he has had to endure, praise God for miracles he gives us, and he always is there to hold us up and give Christian the strength to make it through , he now has complications from his last open heart surgery which is Plastic Bronchitis, there is no cure but a heart transplant. On top of all this... last year Christian lost his mom. He is being raised by his loving Grandma Sharon. So how can you help? Tomorrow I ask you to give a little bit of your time, and a little bit of you money, but most importantly I ask you to give a little bit of your heart. Tomorrow, we arent looking to be able to raise enough money to buy a new heart for Christian. God knows if we were able to just purchase one we would. But tomorrow is more than just about money. Tomorrow, Saturday September 20, 2014 is Have a Heart for Christian Day. Our biggest supporter, the one we endearingly call Momma, and her crew from Because We Care, have put together an amazing day of festivities to show LOVE and SUPPORT for one little boy. If youre a biker and like to ride, they have a beautiful ride set up that leaves at noon sharp. The start location and after party is at the MOOSE LODGE OF TAYLOR MILL, KY. 5427 TAYLOR MILL RD. TAYLOR MILL, KY 41015.. Admission for the ride is $10/person and $15 couples. For NON-RIDERS.. Admission is $5.00. The after party begins at 5:00pm. This includes Vendors, Food, Raffles, Silent Auction, and Live Music from yours truly. Also our mascot Rock E.Gator will be taking the Ice Bucket Challenge (bucket dumped with the assistance of Christian). Plus more. 100% of all proceeds go to Christian! So you ask how can you make a difference, or be an influence in someones life? I ask you tomorrow to come be a difference, simply show Christian that he is not alone.
