Hello FB Friends & fans .. Great morning to greet you from here in Kentucky. Hope all is well w/ you where you are this morning. I was just thinking, sure is good to be able be blessed to get out of bed, have food, shelter and clothing, reasonable portion of health and strength, peace of mind, joy in my heart and a smile on my face. Celebnrating the Emancipation in my home town this weekend. This is an annual event, a highlight of a rural, country town. Come get you some bar-b-que mutton, and some homemade ice cream. A life-long friend of my father, and of all the Allensville community, Mr. pete Morton, agreat Christian man,father and Quartet singer, will be celebrating his 100th birthday. He was, and remains one of my early influences singing Gospel Jubilee. he was the lead singer of the Spillman Chapel Quartet. He, Mr. Jim Muir, Mr. Edgar Woodard, Mr. Louis Brown were the members of that group. So many times as a boy growing up, I heard them on program. I still sing some of the songs that I learned from that group of men. Wishing you all the best of everything as you go through your day. Rev. Charlie
