Hello Friends - I wanted to take a moment to ask you to help us with and important project we are working on. As I’m sure you may know our fellow CEO Club member Mark Hulme was the producer behind “jOBS”, the biographical film based on the life of the late Steve Jobs and starring Aston Kutcher. You may also know that Mark Hulme had no experience in the film industry prior to the making of jOBS. But like any lifelong entrepreneur, he had a vision that he went on to make a reality. The story of how his vision became that film is a fascinating tale of the universal entrepreneurial spirit, and he told that story to me and 15 other CEO club members in 2012. Where did he find the script? Who was the unknown writer? What part did Craig’s List play in the making of Hulme’s feature? How did he attract Ashton Kutcher to play Steve Jobs? It’s a brilliant story, and one that we think needs to be shared as an example of how the USA entrepreneurial culture that is the envy of the world actually is harnessed to achieve a dream. To do that we want to make a documentary based on Mark’s telling of the story of how he achieved his goals. We then want to have it translated into Chinese, Indian, French, German, Nigerian, Russian, Greek, Romanian, Argentinean, and more.
