Hello Friends, After 8 years of service I have decided to resign as President of Mumbai Regional Mahila Congress. I have already communicated my decision to the President of the All India Mahila Congress a while ago. Im filled with mixed emotions because this position was very dear to me as it involved working for women and their upliftment, at the same time I have a lot of workload after having assumed the responsibility of the State Minority Commission in August last year. Also there is a need for inflow of new ideas into the party think tank hence I think a change must be necessitated. I would like to thank all those people who have worked with me in any way, and helped me discharge my duties effectively. A special thanks to my Mumbai committee and all the District/Taluka/Ward Presidents, their committees and all Mahila workers. Also a big thank you to the PCC which has been of great support, all party frontals and various cells and departments of the MRCC. Im confident that the party will appoint a very energetic and dynamic new President. I will be available at your service at all times and Im ready to accept any responsibility the party deems fit for me. Thank you once again.
