Hello Guys!! #Hakin9 #Tutorials **IPV6 and future of data protection** What do you know about future #IPV6 addressing? and how it is massively gonna be affecting the worlds of data #security and #hacking?. IPV6 was first practically-used in June 2012 and currently has an increasing rates of deployments. IPV6s main objective was to compensate the increasing demands on #internet addresses with a very large pool of addresses after the IPV4 had reached its limits. IPV6 is NOT #backward compatible with #IPV4 which required several internet architectures or devices to be changed or entirely be vanished. HOWEVER, this current stage of the IPV6 is really valuable for #hackers where IPV6 is not completely #matured with #firewalls, applications and other security devices. Also, IPV6 is in its first rates of deployments hence it is working in parallel with the existing IPV4 through #tunnels and so many other technologies for co-existence. All in all, this creates additional security holes and vulnerabilities in the system. IPV6 is a security weapon itself but with two edges. For example, Hiding the real IP address is kind of difficult with IPV6 since the Network Address Resolution protocol (#NAT) is NOT employed with IPV6. This can be considered both advantage and disadvantage: - #Security prospective: #malefactors and attackers cant hide their real IPs through NAT and also can be easily located even they used many #proxy servers in different countries because there are international arrangements about finding malefactors. This will help in making crime information exchange between different countries easier. - #Hacking Prospective: For example, removing the NATing process in IPV6 will forcibly make the internal hosts communicate with #public internet using their trusted internal addresses, THIS WILL BE TOO RISKY in addition to the previously mentioned reasons as the non complete maturity of IPV6 applications. If interested in more information how hackers can take advantage of the coming IPV6 era, Hurry UP and PM us here on #Facebook to learn about our tutorial IPV6 and future of data protection and others.
