Hello, I am new to this group and new to vintage machines. I picked up a machine and cabinet at a garage sale a few weeks ago. The cabinet needs some talc on the inside. How do I remove the rust from the hinges? The wood is dry and splintering on the inside (the outside is good, its like a laminate I guess you would call it). I have some linseed oil, should I use that or something else. I really have no idea what I am doing. Thank you for allowing me to join. Also the veneer in the third picture is under the spool tray. I have no idea how old this is. It came with a 770 white machine.
