Hello. I just joined your group and am thrilled by what I already found earler today: a photo on Nov 19th and discussion of the old Alexander Neely house which still stands on Jacks Run Road. I messaged John Schalcosky and another man about info they posted in Nov. Alexander Neelys the two generations are my husband Bobs gg and ggggrandfathers!! We just started doing online research two weeks ago and have learned lots to extend what we knew from past years about our trees. I belong to the Allegheny County Gen fb group too whohelped me learn about maps of Neely farm. We had no info from his family that there was a farm. And to learn the farmhouse still stands is exciting! We lived in Ben Avon in 1974-75 and probably drove by the farm and house and did not know ! Maybe we can see it this summer. We live near Erie, but one Neely aunt lives in Bellevue and an aunt on hubbys moms side a Randolph lives in Avalon. My fatherinlaw taught science at a school in Avalon I think in 1950s. My hubby lived in Avalon a few years when small and went to Avalon elementary thru first grade. We need to find as much info as can, more names, dates, deeds, photos etc. One census says first Alex and wife were born in Ireland so wonder how to find out about immigration, etc, etc. Thus is fun! Are there any Neely relatives either with the name or not, in your group? We hope to connect with any distant relatives. There are Neelys in Crawford county, unsure if tied in. Thanks!
