Hello, I read your books and articles all the time. If you could keep me anonymous I would really appreciate it. But this is the situation I was in I was dating someone for 2 years moved to another city with him, he gave me the deposit on a house. Three months later he claims he wants his own place, ok I let him go now hes asking for the deposit back, after I found out he was sleeping around I cut all ties hell I can do bad by myself. I told him I wasnt giving him shit back. Was I wrong for that. Now hes doing bad, he states he needs his money, I told him to go ask his whores. Sincerely Single and loving it MY RESPONSE: I would have told him the same thing. You did not make any kind of agreement with him that he would get his money back if things did not work out. Two years in and relocating to another state together signifies that both of you had the best intentions to be together. You were right to let him go but I would not give him a dime back. If he sues you, he will not win.
