Hello! Ill quickly intro: we have a daughter, 6 years old, who joined our family via adoption. She is legally blind, fix and follow vision. We are on our second attempt at kindergarten, she came home from China 6 weeks before school last year. Her proposed vision services that include Braille are currently an hour and a half per week and that includes orientation and mobility. This does not seem appropriate and I would think at least an hour per day for a new Braille reader would be minimum. Can anyone speak to this or share anything? We are still so new to all of this as weve only been parenting our daughter for a year. I hope its okay to ask on here, getting a little desperate as the school year begins. (We are in Tennessee, Sumner County)
