Hello...Mike here.... Would anyone be interested in Jeeping in a Mardi Gras Parade??? Small Town USA Belcher, Louisiana is having one on Saturday February 15th starting at 1pm/ Lineup at 12:30. FREE TO ENTER!!!!! This is a small parade (about one mile long) so we should need the same or more throws as the Benton Christmas Parade. PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS POST ASAP IF INTERESTED... We will need to know a number going by Noon on Friday, February 7th....Thanks! _____________________________________________________ The Krewe of Cotton Parade will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, in Belcher, La. Area veterans will be honored as grand marshals. Brandon White, a Marine veteran who was in Afghanistan, will be king, and Frances Maples, a Desert Storm Army veteran, will be queen. Parade participation is free and open to anyone who wants to be in it. You must walk or provide your own ride, throws and a sign stating what group or family you represent. Your entry must be appropriate and in good taste. This year’s theme is “Secret Garden.” Lineup will be at 12:30 p.m. downtown at the old gin (Dixie Weld Fab) on Butler Street. The parade route will be from Caddo Street to Gray Street, down to the fire station at Gray and Self Road, then two blocks to Butler Street and back to the beginning lineup area.
