Hello Pack 2, There will be a Webeloree in May at Camp Potomac. Some preliminary details below. This will be a one night camp and the boys will get a chance to hang out with the older Boy Scouts and see them complete some wilderness survival challenges. There is a possibility that Bears that have completed there bear badge requirements by then might be able to go as well. Thanks - Jason Survive the Night Camporee Hello Potomac District Volunteers! This is a friendly reminder to all Boy Scout Leaders, I am excited to announce that we will be having our first Spring Camporee/Webelosree as the Potomac District of Laurel Highlands Council. This event will be taking place at Camp Potomac Friday May 16th through Sunday May 18th. Webelos will stay the night Friday but leave Saturday afternoon. The Camporee will completely knock out the requirements for the Wilderness Survival Merit Badge! The catch is that we will be doing our survival training in the dark! To put on this Camporee we will need 15-20 volunteers to help run exciting and interactive stations. The schedule will be decided upon at the first “Survive the Night” camporee meeting. We will be holding this meeting tomorrow Wednesday March 12th at 7:00p.m. at the Cumberland Service Center. Please look them over and bring a copy with you. Once you have read over the requirements please bring 5-6 ideas for stations and activities that could cover some of these requirements. We will be selecting a chairperson for this Camporee/Webelosree who will lead our expedition through the darkness! The committee is essential to our Spring Camporee’s success!
