This sweet photo really captures a moment of why we all do what we do and why our volunteers are so important to KC Pet Project. OConner is a 2 year old Pit Bull mix who came to our shelter as a stray last week and many would consider him just another black dog at an overcrowded shelter. During photos yesterday, OConner didnt want to run around or play with toys like the other dogs did, all he wanted was for someone to love him. Were blessed to have amazing volunteers, like Sharon pictured here, who will spend time with dogs like OConner giving them the love that they long for, and were blessed to have volunteer photographers, like Kaye Ness Photography, who capture the true spirit of all of our shelter pets through their wonderful photography. Our volunteers do so much to find our pets deserving, forever homes and are the lifeblood of our organization. OConner is at our main shelter location and we would love to find this sweet boy a temporary home through foster or a forever family today. Were open from noon-5pm at that location.
