Hello Students of Brooklyn College! On behalf of the Brooklyn Public Library Kensington Branch, I am looking for individuals who are interested in volunteering their personal time to help support a public facility within the Brooklyn community. The Kensington Branch staff is in need of individuals who have good organizational skills, have a friendly and approachable manner, and have the ability to get along with diverse groups of people. (Knowledge of languages other than English is a plus!) The staff of the Kensington Branch is particularly in need of Shelf Organizer Volunteers, to assist in maintaining the order of library materials (books, magazines, newspapers, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, etc.). Volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of approximately 2 to 3 hours per week for at least 3 months.
