Hello Swingadians! This is Hernan! There are some changes for Year 2015 curriculum/schedules starting from January 3rd, and it is my privilege to clarify things beforehand as the new community president of Swing Ade for year 2015. 1. Class Terms Classes will be shortened to 4 weeks. There are several people coming in from Facebook and Meetup app and we didn’t want them to wait for whole 8 weeks to start their new class. We expect to welcome more new people to our community! Class fee will continually be 30,000 won. 2. Opening ‘Performance Team’ Class We are shortening Jitterbug class to 4 weeks but instead another 4 weeks will be followed by performance team class. In this 4 weeks, team members will practice for the performance of their graduation. For Lindy-hoppers too, there will be 4 weeks of performance team class after completing Lindy hop beginners, intermediate-1, intermediate-2 (total of 3 months) Performance Team class is 10,000 won each. 3. Ethics Committee For objective solutions in any disputes between members of Swingade, we will run voluntary Ethics Committee. Up to 5 people can be in the committee and the members are required for their mature awareness of interpersonal problems. 4. General Assembly First week Saturdays (opening of new monthly terms) we will host a General Assembly where everyone in Swingade can participate. We will talk about deciding next class instructors, helpers, Ethics Committee, MT and so on. Only the people participate in this Assembly will have the right to vote.
