Here’s the schedule for Tuesday August 13th: Long time observers of tennis week were treated to a first on Monday afternoon; two three-hour matches taking place concurrently on the upper courts. Simmy Pink and Elin Oldland outlasted Hope Tetrault and Ann Macaulay in three long sets, while on court one, Anthea Oldland and Alice prevailed over Claire Fripp and Diane Elsliger, also in three sets, including two tiebreakers. Earlier in the day Tim Bradley was surprised by Andrew Kandel and recovered just in time to eke out a third set tiebreaker victory. Twenty-four matches were contested on Monday. A similar schedule awaits on Tuesday. It includes the first appearance of top-seeded Stuart Webster. He’ll be tested by Adrian Dunn. Later in the day Stuart will return, this time with doubles partner Geoff Molson, in a match against Rob Allatt and Ryan Lynam. Eight Mixed Doubles matches are on tomorrow’s agenda, including the appearance of top seeded Kate and Geoff Molson. In Ladies Doubles, favorites Claire Webster and Kate Molson make a first appearance.
