Hello Veggie Gardeners. It’s Live Question Time. I’ve had two sunny days in a row and I have dirt under my nails. It is so nice to be back in the garden. With the warmer weather, everything seems to have almost doubled in size. But the warmer weather is also bringing out the pests. The slugs and snails have been joined by increasing numbers of white cabbage butterflies, aphids, whitefly and leaf miners. The terrible weather has left the plants weakened and vulnerable to pests, and so it is important to keep a close eye on them, looking out for any pest infestation dealing with it straight away. Any pests killed in early spring can make a significant dent in the populations in late summer. A liquid feed wouldn’t go amiss to help the plants recover from the stresses of the last few weeks. Let’s hope we have seen the last of the storms. If you have any questions about pests or anything about veggies at all - ask now. I will be here LIVE on Facebook for the next half hour!
