Hello, Wrist Revolutionaries… It’s our first post of the new year and we hope everyone is having a great start to 2015! On New Years Eve we told you we had something BIG to share today, so let’s get right to it. There are many aspects of the Rufus Cuff our designers and engineers have custom tailored, affording us the ability to create an awesome hardware platform for our operating system. Today we are happy to announce another enhancement to our hardware, built just for the Rufus Cuff, that allows us to thin down the overall thickness of our Wrist Communicator AND provide 30% more battery life! Over the last few weeks and months we’ve been working with our battery supplier on a new battery built from the ground up to maximize internal space and provide greater capacity than our earlier model. Our new battery is 30% thinner than our previous one and provides 1175 mAh of power (previously 900 mAh). This is over 30% more battery life and puts the Rufus Cuff battery at about 4 times the size of most wearables on the market. Samples are schedule to arrive in 4 weeks and we can’t wait to test them out and use them in our functional prototype models. Providing our users with a great experience is goal number one at Team Rufus. We know battery life is important and we’re more than happy to provide this upgraded hardware to our Wrist Revolutionaries. As we approach full production runs and deliveries this year, we will continue to adjust hardware and software to make sure when the Rufus Cuff arrives on your wrist, it is at its most awesome.
