Hello Yogis, I hope all is well. I would like to extend an invitation to my fellow yogis. I will be volunteering to bring Yoga to New Mission High School in Hyde Park, MA. Yoga is being offered as an elective to students that do not have Physical Education. It is our hope that this class will foster a sanctuary for both physical and mental well being after a long day of rigorous academics. So many of our teens struggle with obesity, anger management, stressful home lives and lack of exercise. Yoga is a unique opportunity to address all of these very diverse issues at once. For students, as it has been for me, yoga may be a path to new life choices, healthier habits, and a safe space that so many lack. We would love to have some guest teachers! We will practice yoga on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1:20-2:20 from September through January. If there are any instructors in this group or at your studio who may be willing to volunteer to teach a guest class, it would be wonderful for our students to have exposure to different styles. We are very eager to be involved in the community and want to offer our students the greatest exposure to yoga possible.Thank you so much for your consideration.
