Hello all! Jaya is having a better day today, hes actually smiling for REAL! Even laughing a little, although that is painful so hes very guarded. They decreased his morphine today in hopes of getting his GI system to wake up. He cant get the NG tube out until he has a BM and the volume coming from his NG tube is less than 20ml over 4 hours. Last night he had a HUGE increase in volume for some reason, so were still a ways off. He cant take anything by mouth until the NG is removed. But his personality is coming back, which makes me very happy! On another note, Grandma had to go home this morning. Shes been here two and a half weeks and she was ready to get back. She helped out a ton, I dont know what I would have done without her. I may need some help in the next few days, if possible. I know, worst timing ever ;-) I was supposed to get my van back from the shop last night, but as it was being driven back to me, the instrument panel quit working. This is one of the problems its had, and it just didnt get fixed. So I still dont have transportation. The girls are home so Im trying to figure out a way to get them here for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. But we have two dogs, and we cant just leave them. So frustrating. I now well figure something out.
