Hello all. Today started out just a bit unusual as Karen and I - TopicsExpress

Hello all. Today started out just a bit unusual as Karen and I got up and ready for her Dr. appointment this morning at 11:30am. As the night went by last night I noticed that Karen was just not sleeping well and she said she was a bit more tired and sore than nights before. We made the appointment to have Nancy let us know that her battle with this earth life was coming to a close. That her bilirubin was up over 18 and that todays blood test showed that her liver is shutting down and that the pills she was taking were not stopping the cancer in her liver from continuing to grow. So today was the day that the decision was made to stop the chemo and manage Karens pain levels with the help of hospice care. So tonight we had our family over, some friends and had a nice dinner together. Then I realized this will be my last earthly New Years Eve and New Years Day with the best, most Wonderful, Outstanding, Amazing,Beautiful Warrior of a woman that has filled 29 years of my Wonderful life together. I want to Thank so many friends, family and neighbors that have helped us get to this point in our lives. Karen assured me that she will be awaiting our reunion in Paradise. That this part of life is like taking on a new calling in church. First your scared to death wondering if you can do it or are able to do the work being asked of you and then when you are busy with the work that you have been called to do you find things are easy. I am ever so thankful for when Karen, Kevin and I were able to go through the temple to be sealed as an eternal family and that she brought two more wonderful children, Susan and Shawn into our family. In knowing my brother and Savior Jesus Christ will be there with open arms and to have him tell her Job well done. Job well done.
