Hello all, We just wanted to drop a quick line and give you some news and updates. As you all know we have a lot going on here at Gracie Barra Schaumburg, lots of construction, inspections and tons of errands...LOL. We were scheduled to open for business on Saturday August 3rd, 2013, but do to some unforeseen circumstances that will not happen. We are going to push things back one week and plan on opening for business on Saturday August 10th. We have our final inspections early next week and if at all possible we will open sooner. We are truly sorry for the delay but we hope to have your new state of the art academy open for your classes as soon as possible. Our “Grand Opening and Open House” will be held on Sunday August 11th from Noon till 6PM. We are asking all of our students and friends to bring a small dish of your choice to share with all of our students, friends and guests. We are calling it a “Taste of Gracie Barra”. On Friday August 16th we will be hosting a “Multi Black Belt” Seminar. We will have more than ten Gracie Barra black belts from all over the world here in Schaumburg to support our new school and share with us the very latest and greatest BJJ techniques. The cost for the seminar is $40 and three pounds of dry goods/food to be given to a local homeless shelter and food bank on behalf of the students at Gracie Barra Schaumburg. It is a very rare occasion to have so many high level BJJ black belts in one location at the same time....so please show your support and join us for a fantastic day of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu instruction and help us impress Gracie Barra’s Executive Director....Professor Flavio Almeida who will be teaching at the seminar as well. Spots are limited so please contact our Program Director Peter Prince as soon as possible to secure your spot.
