Hello all! Zachary is doing well. We were at clinic this past Friday and numbers are great! We have been give the go ahead for him to start 3 year old preK in august. This will be 3 half days a week. We will try this for a few months and see how his immune system handles it. Hip Hip Hooray! I am so excited for him to get back around kids his own age. Still on hold with the immunizations. We will evaluate his immunoglobulin levels again at the end of August and may begin them at this time. To celebrate, Lenn and I took him to the mall to let him ride the small coin operated cars. He has never done this, so we thought it would be great. Where these are located there are also the ball pit/jumpy things. I didnt think he would have any interest since he has never seen one or been in one. And mind you, all I see when I look at a ball pit/jumpy is a sea of germs. Well, he HATED the coin operated car, but ran head first into the ball pit/jumpy AGKKKK!!! I almost had a cardiac arrest. He had the best time. There were no other children in the entire facility so he had the run of the place. He visited EVERY bouncy/inflatable obstacle course there. Went head first down every slide and climbed up the inflatable wall. We let him play for about 45 minutes. His time was up, and I seriously wanted to dip him in Germ-X. Actually before we left, we wiped him down from head to toe with antibacterial wipes. But is was so nice to let him run around a just be a kid. Lenn has about a hundred pictures on his phone. I will post one later so you all can see the pure joy in his face. Though I am ready for him to start preK, I am also anxious. I know he will get sick and I feel my anxiety rising. In the weeks prior to his diagnosis he had recurrent respiratory infections, so I know the first runny nose and cough is going to bring back all of those feelings.
