Hello, all and welcome to my very first Trunk Show on Elite Artisan Jewelry Showcase here on Facebook!! So let me start by introducing myself. My name is Denise Sachs-Mishalanie and I work under the name of Whiled Peas Bead and Jewelry Designs. I have been designing and making jewelry for more than 40 years and once I discovered Lampwork beads, I became OBSESSED with designing and making my own beads! I always have a jewelry designers’ perspective when I make my beads and hope that you see many ways to include my beads into your own designs! All of my beads are made in my home studio in upstate NY. I began using Lampwork glass beads in my designs about ten years ago and decided to design and make my own glass beads at that point – I have been getting lost in Lampwork ever since – all of my designs feature some of my own Lampwork glass beads and I try to make the Glass the center of attention. You will see a lot of Glass on Sterling Silver, sometimes directly on Sterling Silver Beading Chain. All of my findings and chains are 100% Sterling Silver and Swarovski Crystals unless I note otherwise. I will have a few giveaways, but you’ll have to work for it! I am going to ask all of you to tell me something about yourself in the comments section beneath the pictures of the giveaways – one will be open to everyone, and the rest will be open to those who have ever bought from me before. All of my beads are made from Borosilicate glass, and go directly from the flame to a digitally controlled kiln. This assures long life and durability. Each bead is inspected and cleaned by me. Most of the focal beads have been placed back in the kiln to heat slowly, and then I take them out, one at a time and fire polish the holes to make sure there are no sharp edges – they are then returned to the kiln for annealing. It’s an extra step, but I find it makes a big difference when transforming beads into jewelry – and that’s what it’s all about!!! PayPal is the only form of payment for this show, and all beads will be promptly shipped as soon as payment is received. Shipping is $4.00 for US, $6.00 for Canada and $10.00 for international.
