Hello and welcome to the 12th episode of Foaming at the Mouth! This week in honor of our Philippine Independence on Thursday June 12th, I thought it would be appropriate to celebrate the occasion by showcasing some of my favorite OPM bands and artists that not only have had a profound impact on me growing up, but were instrumental in inspiring me to pick up a guitar and make music myself. Bands who came before I did and helped paved the way for me and other Filipino musicians, while others are contemporaries of mine, some of whom continue to make music today. And of course, I also wanted to showcase some of the newer bands who I love and continue to create exciting new music in our local scene. As always, these are just my picks and Ive added bits of stories to show why. Id like to apologize in advance for the length of this weeks show. It clocks in at almost 4 hrs and if it was up to me I still couldve added many, many, more bands. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy! Please feel free to share!
