Hello college students in the area! “Summer Pathway College Institute” at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Annandale campus needs VOLUNTEERS.They are reaching out to current college students who might be willing to share about their college experiences, major, college application process, extracurricular activities. The interactive college panel will take place this Thursday 6/27 from 11:30 to 1pm The goal of the “Pathway Connection Summer Institute” is to reduce the college readiness gap between high school students from public schools. The program will reinforce and enhance skills that students have acquired throughout the academic school year in their high school setting, while providing an opportunity to explore the actual campus/college environment. The program will focus on the following areas: career exploration, financial literacy, interpersonal communication skills, peer relationships, preparedness, public speaking and task completion. Your stories and college experiences will also inspire them to continue with higher education. Some of them are first generation college students.
