Hello dear Kingston Drama Year :) I promised myself to put this post up a lot earlier actually!! However, it took me a while to move and settle into my new home in central London. I think London is a horrible place for people. I think it is even more horrible for young people. How can we start making a living in this expensive-exciting city? People tell you to get a place, which is not possible without a job, which is not possible without a place to stay, which is not possible without money, which is not possible without a job! Back in september I had a few rough weeks of househunting in Zone 1 and I was lucky to have had friends who hosted me so that I found a little house near Brick Lane in Liverpool Street area. It is big enough for people to stay over for a few days, weeks or whatever it is really as it has a sleeping sofa that unfolds into another double bed. I was lucky with it and I feel, I need to give something back somehow! If anyone from our year is in need of staying somewhere to audition for jobs, for schools/MAs, to go for interviews, to watch shows or visit friends, please remember that youll always have a place to stay in central! I really mean every word of it. There is too much selfishness and competition out there in this city that makes it hard to enjoy life - that it can be rare to come across real humanitarianism. And thats really not how it should be ! Message, text or contact me somehow and Ill pick you up from any tube station, make you a cup of tea and play you a song on my piano :) That was all I wanted to say in this group really!!
