Hello, everyone. I am Joey Bonice, the Series Creator and one of the Producers on Star Trek: Lexington. Some of you know me, some don’t; that’s all fine. Reason I’m writing this is to personally ask you for your assistance in getting Lexington off the ground. Most of us have to work really hard in real life in order to make ends meet; I recently went through a very public one-day-a-week layoff, which has never been heard of in my line of work. However, even with all the things going on around us, this is THE time the fan films are needed badly, as they are things we can turn to when times get rough. I’ve been writing and working on Lexington since August, 1985… just a short time prior to the Next Generation. There were times when working on this series really made a difference to me and I think that all the fan films out there, not just Lexington, can make that same difference. We’re only one of many entrees on the buffet of Star Trek lore. Some of you have heard the stories about us and while I will not comment on them, I will say that Lexington, just like her real life counterpart, has weathered some rough seas. She’s still afloat but we need you to help me and the rest of the cast & crew to help her take off at warp speed! I won’t lie to you; at this time, we have limited resources and we are working on getting a budget together but that won’t stop me from saying we really could use your help! My staff and I are putting a couple of introductory webisodes together to show you what a core cast & crew could do; however, with that said, we can’t produce our regular series episodes unless we get additional help. If you’ve ever entertained the notion of being a part of fan film making and Star Trek lore, we can get you started. Experience is not required, so you don’t have to be a professional actor or a Trekkie/Trekker to help out. We’re going to try something new and my fellow producers think this could be done. For the first time in Lexington history, we are literally opening the series up internationally. What this means is that even if you live in another state or country, you can be part of the cast! Will it be difficult, probably. But, if we put our minds to it, there’s nothing that can’t be done. To be part of the cast, you will need to be either of two things: 1.) Be within a reasonable driving distance of the Birmingham, Alabama, area (about 100 miles or so) to be on the set or 2.) You will need to have the ability to greenscreen, record, and send video and audio files over the internet. We also need people who can do voiceovers, post production editing, costuming, props, and CG work. We will ask that if you want to work with us, you will need to be dependable, flexible, able to meet deadlines, and have a strong commitment & desire to put out a good series. Here’s how to audition or submit your demo reel: Upload a video of your work on YouTube; you can make the link unlisted so only those with the link can see it. You can then either post the link on our Facebook page) https://facebook/groups/StarTrekLexingtonNewBeginnings) or by PM’ing the page admin(s). One of the producers will look at your video and PM you back on either Facebook or on YouTube. Make sure you let us know how best to contact you (e-mail, Facebook, or YouTube) so we can contact you directly. None of the Lexington Producers will make any public comments on your videos; so if someone claims to work on Lexington and is making comments, please let us know so it can be reported to the proper authorities. Right now, the characters being cast are: Lexington Command Crew: Lieutenant Commander Jason Lee- 20 something British (Welsh) male Lieutenant Commander Dawn Mathias- late 20’s Australian female Lieutenant Commander Saavik – late 20’s something Vulcan female Lieutenant (j.g.) Valentina Tereshkova – 20 something Russian female Back-up Lexington Crew Members: Ensign Gillian Cunningham – early 20’s Australian female Major Cullen Areniego – late 20’s/early 30’s Filipino (Manila) male Other roles will be announced as we move forward on our pilot episode. Depending on the amount of responses and the technical issues / crew available will determine when we will be able to get into production status. Thank you for your attention and we’re looking forward to seeing you! Joseph Bonice Series Creator, Star Trek: Lexington
