Hello everyone ! I wanted to try something a little bit different so yesterday a bought a new colour * COCO! I wanted to achieve a more rustic look kinda 1930s Maine . So what I did was I took some of the coco colour and blended with some old white to create a beautiful latte shade ,I then left my mixture to thicken a little in the sunshine to give me a new texture to play with . While this was going on I decided on my piece of furniture and choose these chunky,solid wood nest of tables.I sanded down the top to the bare wood then applied a white wash which gives a lime wash finish . Then I had lots of fun painting the tables ,took a little bit longer than I d imagined but the result was so worth it ~ I am delighted with the rustic feel of these little tables . They have been slightly distressed for a worn feel and waxed for a bit of protection.I sure am happy with this result, now thinking on doing something bigger in the same style ~ maybe a kitchen dresser if I can source one .
