Hello everyone! Im Sara and Im a mom of a 5 year old daughter. Im also a full time Special Educator working with students with Autism. While my job is extremely rewarding, it is also very stressful. Growing up I was big into physical fitness; playing multiple sports (soccer, softball, track). In 2009, 3 months after my daughter was born prematurely, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. During her 2 year battle I spent so much time being her caregiver and caring for my daughter, that I stopped taking care of myself. After 2 long fought years my mom passed away on May 10, 2012. At that time I lost my way and went into a deep depression. The little things like getting out of bed, eating, and being social became challenging. For the longest time I tried to hide my depression from everyone but that became a challenge in itself. Back in the fall of 2013 a friend reached out to me and invited me to join one of her challenge groups. I decided it was time to do something for me, so I joined. My first challenge was a failure; I didnt even finish. She kept providing me with encouragement and believing in me, so I joined another 5 day Clean Eating challenge and this time I succeeded and the results were amazing. I decided to become a Beachbody coach to help keep myself accountable and inspire other people to live a healthier lifestyle. I started my page Commit To Be Fit as a motivational tool to support others in their journey. Living a healthy lifestyle isnt about dieting, it is about a lifestyle change (mentally, nutritionally, and fitness). Feel free to like my page and follow me on this journey.
