Hello everyone! Im currently in Portsmouth, Dominica with Hillery. This morning we had a breakfast of egg cooked with garlic and capers(bought from a student leaving the island) and served on a southern style corn Johnny cake. Hillery has become quite the cook with island fare. This afternoon we went to the beach in front of La flambeau where we snorkeled over the reef. Amazing! I did successfully avoid the black spiny sea urchins that I had a run in with earlier in my stay. The variety of fish was astounding. Beautiful colors. I saw a 10 to 12 inch turquoise fish I wish I could have photographed. We also saw eels of fare size, a sea snake, and several puffer fish. One with puffed up momentarily and the swam quickly away. To end a perfect evening, we had flaming bananas for dessert. Im off to the bus to get back to Hillerys apt. See you soon.
