Hello everyone. Im sharing very sad news that my wonderful Bearded Collie, Bailey is critically ill in the RVC hospital in London. Bailey was absolutely fine on Monday. His day was no different to any other and the only strange part was his not coming in when called, early evening. I had to help him into the house as he seemed weak. I noticed twitching of his muzzle and his breathing had changed so we raced him to a vets where he stayed overnight on pain relief. The next morning he was taken to our vets who are amazing but they couldnt diagnose so he was raced to the RVC where he has been all week. There were no warning signs, no symptoms that I can share but we thought we would lose him. He is still critically ill and no test results have given an indication as to what is wrong which is heartbreaking. I think I could cope far better if we knew what was the problem. He is very weak, lethargic and his tummy is tender. They have ruled out any form of poison and Addisons disease . We are going to the hospital tomorrow and praying for positive news. His temperature that was high is now more normal. We desperately need him to eat but if he doesnt a feeding tube will be placed in his neck tomorrow to help him over the next few days as he is very weak, once I have any news I will share here .
